Jan. 12 - Feb. 16:   Advice for Anxious Times
Sometimes it can feel like our life is out of control and that things are falling apart. We may respond to our difficulties by becoming anxious and negative, which accomplishes nothing. Instead of allowing adversity to make us unhappy and discouraged, we can use these experiences as a means to develop a positive mind. In this series, we will learn Buddha's special advice for transforming all the difficulties in our life into spiritual lessons that lead to freedom from anxiety and allow us to put back together the pieces of our life.
About the classes
These introductory classes are an excellent introduction to the practical applications of Buddhism and meditation. They offer very simple meditations that you can use to gain more peace and balance in life, as well as a clear introduction to the Buddhist way of life. The classes combine guided meditation with practical spiritual advice that you can immediately put into practice as a method for eliminating daily stress and other problems you may be experiencing.
The classes are open to those who are able to attend only occasionally, as well as to those who want to follow a systematic series of classes. There is no need to pre-register. Everyone is welcome. $12 per class, or $60 per month for a Members Card.
